About Us
Mission Statement:
In the tradition of the human ideal of freedom of thought and speech, the Siuslaw Public Library strives to be a warm, inviting Commons accessible to people of all ages, economic levels, and cultural backgrounds, addressing the pursuit of lifelong learning.
History:
The Siuslaw Public Library District was created by the voters in 1985 as a special district in Western Lane County, and is overseen by an elected board of five directors.
Library Cards:
Library district residents may obtain a free library card with proof of a local in-district address. Non-residents may obtain a card for a quarterly or annual fee. Applicants under 18 may obtain a card with the signed approval of a parent or legal guardian. For more information, click here.
